Pompano Beach Pier Parking Garage
This is the first public parking garage in the city of Pompano and a stunning one as well; an iconic garage that looks more like a piece of art than a parking garage with its canvas wrapped LED lit sails surrounding all sides. To blend in to its environment it has a landscaped rooftop deck, a glass elevator, and glass windows along the first floor. The first Tourism Visitor Center is on the ground floor, which gives visitors information on the area, history, and places to visit. The garage also contains an aquatic mural and overlooks the ocean from the elevator.
LMG participated in the conceptual design of the Pier Redevelopment together with a team from the City of Fort Lauderdale. We developed parking demand models to verify the need for the project and financial models for sustainability. The proceeds of the parking lot go towards the benefit of the city. In 2015, acting as owner's rep, LMG negotiated the project's construction and all related site improvements.
The city's development of this stunning building gives way for future development and amenities, encouraging the growth of local businesses. Providing 663 parking spaces to the beachfront area, the garage enhances its surroundings and provides for future growth that both visitors and residents can enjoy. "We have set the stage for future development in our City with this landmark project," said Mayor Lamar Fisher. "We didn't just want a garage; we wanted to create something iconic that will have a lasting impression."
